| Friday, 23 April 2010 21:18 | I finally finished the development of SMFJA. The website is here. Currently the available subscription plans for the component is only the ones I can provide the support system, but I am going to provide the one day subscription for people who think they can resolve a problem by themselves. Subscription Manager for Joomla! Alternative Website |

| Saturday, 17 April 2010 23:52 | It has been quite long time since I decided to distribute Easy Search as a commercial component thanks to Subscription Manager for Joomla!. SMFJA now works way better than the original. It uses hosted button which is more secure than the other way the customer could manipulate the payment data during the payment procedure. The original restricts only a part of article. SMFJA provides three types of restrictions, component, plugin and menu. - Component Level Restriction - By putting the component name (e.g. com_contact) the component will be allowed to use only by subscribers.
- Plugin Level Restriction - For example your Joomla! website uses Remository kind of file repository component and you need to provide some files only for subscribers. In such a case you can use this restriction. Although, you need a plugin if SMFJA website does not provide it for the component, your Joomla! website can have a flexible restriction with this restriction.
- Menu Level Restriction - SMFJA can restrict a page level restriction. If you want to restrict an article page, you can use this restriction.
Now you can check out SMFJA demo site! |
| Friday, 02 April 2010 20:09 | I thought it is ready to show off the customised version of Subscription Manager for Joomla!, but I figured out that I was going to implement the core logic with a wrong recognition. Therefore, I still have to work on SMFJA for while. Until then you can download Easy Search for free. |
| Wednesday, 10 March 2010 00:31 | This website has been transferred to LA from Tokyo. Easy Search is going to become a commercial extension soon after I launched SMFJA website. |
| Saturday, 06 February 2010 03:16 | The author asked me not to redistribute massively, but I am going to build a website for the customised subscription manager for Joomla!. It is named Subscription Manager for Joomla! Alternative. Even though both names sound simular both works quite different from each other. I have changed many files to make the alternative version work for Easy Search website. The alternative version is for people who want to provide a page using the third party extension for the subscribed users, it not for the website providing the article page which requires a subscription. The alternative version also has different specifications. For example, it does not handle recurring fee, you have to setup the subscription plan at PayPal mainly etc. I hope the customisation I did, works for some Joomla! websites selling some extensions. |
